After 9/11, Pax Templars disbanded and all heroes went underground. Now, someone is hunting down the founding members.
Pax Templars was America’s premiere superhero team from the early nineties right up until late, 2001. And the team quickly found itself falling out of favor with the general public. Then months later things went from bad to worse when the two joint leaders of the team refused to directly assist the U.S. military in its invasion of a foreign country citing that they were heroes and not soldiers. Almost immediately a large and proactive smear campaign was directed, not only against all members of Pax Templars, but any hero that had ever allied themselves with the team for any reasons.
of the United States and their territories who had enhanced or superhuman mega death capabilities would either have to immediately enlist in the armed forces, be forcible detained, or volunteer for an highly extensive identification and vetting procedure called the WMD Protocols.
And so rather than publicly fight back against the Federal government and the President, the decision was made to disband the team and for the majority of America's superheroes to immediately go underground, taking off their colorful costumes and hiding themselves from the world.
And the world has forgot what it was like when costumed heroes walked among them instead of carefully keeping to the shadows.
But now someone is out there hunting down the original founding members forcing them once again into the public eye.
Pax Templars # 1will be the first issue in this comic book series, and what we are trying to do is to generated enough funding with this Kickstarter page to fully fund the creation and release of this first issue. And those funds will primarily be used for that purpose, with any additional funding being applied to help start developing other issues in the overall story arc that we have planned.
My name is Don Thomas and I have the writer of this project which is one of several that my company RedKing Press is developing, and the artist on Pax Templars is Sham Arifin. And at this point several scripts have been written, development art on most of the characters have been fully completed and several sequential pages have also been completed.except for the lettering.
