We are Take One Car, an unsigned indie rock band based out of Poughkeepsie, NY.
Currently, we are recording our second full-length album. It is going great so far, but unfortunately we don’t have a way to fund it.
The possibility of not being able to release our album, due to of lack of funding, is terribly disheartening. We’ve put countless hours into writing this album, and getting every detail perfect. We spent much of 2010 locked in our basement practice space arranging these songs. When you put so much effort into something it begins to feel like a piece of you. This album means everything to us, and we can’t bear the letdown of not seeing it through.
A close friend, who knew of our dilemma, recommended that we visit Kickstarter. So here we are. We decided to set our goal at $2000. It is not all of the money we will need to release this album, but raising this money will bring us much closer to our destination. We didn’t want to offer ordinary items in return for your kind donations, so we tried to get together some special gifts. We hope you will enjoy them.
