The Second Installment of her Ten Year Project, Photographer and Dancer Theater Artist Lindsay Browning will travel to Barcelona, Spain
Hello! My name is Lindsay Browning
I'm a Photographer & Dance/Theater Artist based in Philadelphia. In November 2011 I began a 10 year documentary project entitled "Lost and Inspired". My first journey took place in the North of Italy, exploring and documenting several familiar and less than familiar locations including Venice, Bolzano, Verona, Rome, Milan, Ravenna, Modena & Piacenza.
The "Lost and Inspired" series of Journeys will take place in and out of the United States and will produce inspired photography, movement installation, movement creation, professional growth and the opportunity to share sights and sounds discovered while following unknown paths and local recommendation. I will travel to Barcelona, Spain from November 20th-29th to become Lost and Inspired exploring the works of Antoni Gaudi (Spanish Artist known as "God's Architect")

Over the course of the next few weeks I will be meeting with several people in Philadelphia who are familiar with the city of Barcelona and who've been inspired themselves by their experiences with Gaudi. I've acquired contacts in Barcelona to secure lodging while abroad and i've researched the costs of travel to and from Barcelona, travel while in Barcelona and daily expenses. I've taken into consideration the current exchange rates.
Post Travel Dance/Theater Performance: Documented movements/choreography, that are created/discovered while traveling/exploring, will be presented in a shared show with Group Motion Multimedia Dance Company in Philadelphia on December 15th-16th 2012. The Images taken while in Barcelona will be presented in Philadelphia in early 2013.

The greatest risk I have will be the consistency of blind motivation. Although I will be aware of the general areas that I'll explore, most of the paths, sights and spaces are boldly left to chance and are dependent on my diligent, every day exploration on foot, bus, train and boat as well as my local contacts in Barcelona. I will also face the challenge of traveling alone to a country where I know little of the language.
