Some Pretty Cool News
Hello Everyone,
So I've been sitting on some really cool news until all the paperwork finally came through and made it official. I'm not sure how many of you know who the Fleet Foxes are, but they're an incredible band, whom I greatly admire. About nine months ago we approached them and asked if we could put some of their songs in "I Am I." It took a while to get in touch with them because they were touring all over the world. First, they asked to see a clip of the movie to see where their songs were being played. A little while later they asked to see the whole film. We waited to hear back from them and then... they said, "yes." I'm not sure how to describe the feeling of having an artist you love approve of sharing their work with yours, but I just about flipped out. It feels like these songs were written for the film, although they weren't. They were just meant to be together. If you want to listen to the songs, which will be in the film, they are, "He Doesn't Know Why" and "Montezuma." I'm so excited to share this with all of you. Simon and I listened to their albums every day on the way to the set, and I almost didn't dare let myself dream that they would say yes, but they did!
