About this project

This will be my first project funded by people other than myself. I really cannot say much about the project that it gives too much away. When you see the film or donate to the reward of getting a copy of the script (see rewards), then you will know what I mean here. Here's what I can say without giving too much away. I came up with the idea and wrote what I could myself. Then I was recommended to a New Orleans, LA writer to use him. So far he's been great to work with and writes really great!

Plot:
George and Phil have been homeless for a few years. They met each other when they both went downhill and lost everything they had. They talk about their life and how they got to be where they are now. The end of the film reveals a huge segment that blows them away as well as the audience.

This film is a short film, very short. As of now running at 5-10 minutes. The writer I'm working with is working for free because I don't have enough out of pocket to pay for a writer. So hopefully these funds will help out with the rest of the film. The short film is also a prelude that will leave you hanging for more for a feature film I have ideas to create. One film that is not up, only a trailer: http://www.ramsaurfilms.com/educational.html It's a short 11 minute film I made when I was 17 (3 years ago. I'm 20 now) It made the top 21 at the Independence Features Film Festival which took place in New York City at the Tribeca Theater (not tribeca film festival). I am proud to be a young filmmaker with much experience.

Here is what your money will be going towards:
- Pay the Cast and Crew
- Pay for the Cast and Crew's food and water
- Pay for permits so we can shoot without getting in trouble
- Equipment that will be needed (indie mini slider, follow focus, rent lenses, etc)
- Film Festivals
- Marketing (DVD's, Cases, printing, etc)

If we reach more than our goal, everyone will get a credit in the film as Kick Starter Backer and a credit on the website! The goal is also set for my birthday, June 23. So it would be awesome for me to have this all funded or more than funded by my birthday!

This film does have one heavy visual effects shot in the film. Those effects will be done by a brilliant visual effects artist. Here's some of his projects with effects and any still images he's created.

Grabbed a camcorder at the age of 7 and just played around. Film wasn't really in me, it was just fun. Age 14 I met a friend who's now my best friend who made films. Watched him edit one of his films. It amazed me. Went home, grabbed a camera, filmed something, edited it, I had my movie. Now I've been making films for 6 years and will continue making them. Hope to be a high top director even if it's not in Hollywood.
