Since 2007, I have blogged about politics in Kentucky. An organization in our state, Answers in Genesis (AiG), built a Creation Museum here several years ago, the purpose of which is to refute the theory of evolution based on a literal interpretation of Christian biblical text.

AiG is now attempting to build a theme park in Kentucky called Ark Encounter. This attraction will include a Noah's Ark replica, a Walled City, the Tower of Babel, etc. AiG intends on using state government tax incentives and private donations to fund this project.

AiG recently announced that it is hosting its second "Date Night" at the Creation Museum. With special musical guests and an "inspiring message about love and the biblical view of marriage from Creation Museum founder," just what will will this avowed spinster and her gentleman caller learn? Aren't you at least a little bit curious?

Any money pledged beyond the goal will reimburse for project costs incurred beyond the registration and travel expenses. And I have some ideas for super secret surprise rewards if it all goes better than expected. The deadline for Date Night registration is looming, and the event will take place on Fri., Feb. 11th.
