Update #5: OhioProg 2012 canceled
OhioProg 2012 turned to crowd funding platform to make tickets available for the 3-day progressive rock festival in an attempt to ensure enough people would attend to cover the costs and expenses of holding such a grand event. The Kickstarter campaign ended on January 2, 2012 with only 60 tickets pledged. A total of around 400-450 tickets pledged at the various levels would have reached the funding goal.
The festival adopted Kickstarter’s project criteria in that, it is all-or-nothing funding. So, since the goal was not reached OhioProg 2012 has been canceled. Also, because funding on Kickstarter is all or nothing, all pledges have been automatically canceled.
We thank the many that did pledge and committed to attending the festival. The support meant a lot. We’d also like to thank those at the Canton Palace Theatre and those in the Canton area who have been very gracious to our staff and efforts. And of course all of the bands who were invited to perform at OhioProg 2012, we thank you for believing in our event! We’d like to consider alternatives to move forward but that depends on what the final number is on Kickstarter. Update #3: 2 Weeks Left to Pledge Your Ticket to OhioProg 2012
Hello everyone!
There are 2 weeks left to pledge your ticket to the OhioProg festival on Kickstarter. Roughly 45 tickets have been pledged so far and another 350 or so need to be pledged at the various ticket levels in order to reach the goal and hold OhioProg 2012. The process is like pre-ordering your ticket, except that your order is canceled if the goal is not met. The goal date is set to January 2, 2012 at 11:59PM (EST).

Glass Hammer will be celebrating their 20th anniversary with a performance at the festival and it will prove to be one you will not want to miss! OhioProg 2012 now boasts a tremendous 15 band lineup representing 5 countries featuring headliners FM, Nightingale, Arena & Glass Hammer.
Cryptic Vision have kindly contributed 30 copies of their 2006 album "In a World" to the ticketing campaign, so the next 30 people to pledge their ticket will get their very own "In a World" album!! So if you are going, why not pledge your ticket now!
This is a great opportunity to be a part of an event funded by the fans, for the fans and enjoyed by the fans of progressive rock. Tell your friends, fans, any and all people who might help support this event and turn it into a reality. Stress to them the urgency of pledging their ticket if they want to or are planning on going. Even if you can't attend you can pledge to and help support the event and receive rewards like a live compilation CD of performances recorded at the fest, digital download, poster and more. Allen Thompson, Allen Gunnison and Jason George came together and formed the Ohio Progressive Rock Association to organize and promote the annual OhioProg festival. The trio have a lifetime of experience in the music industry and are also active in radio, film and merchandising. The organization also does booking for local, national and international progressive rock bands.
