This product and these guys are great. I was really happy with my Hidden Radio, then I had a mechanical problem with it. But the customer service response to get it replaced was phenomenal. Now I'm an even bigger fan. Keep up the great work guys.

This may be of interest to those with two Hidden radios:
A new Kickstarter project is "Vertus", which splits a Bluetooth signal and sends it simultaneously to two speakers, creating stereo. I wonder if this might improve the functionality of my speakers even more.

Hi guys, it's been a while since owning these and I think they are super. Your service has been fantastic with an issue with one item, but they have performed well, still with great battery life even though they are charged more than 3 times a week. Sound quality is brilliant compared to other devices at the same price. I highly recommend anyone thinking about getting this to take the plunge. The twist mechanism is still as new, that proves impeccable design and manufacturing techniques.

I'm really looking forward to future versions and other products you plan to release.

A big ask, but it would be lovely to see Airplay baked in one day.

Hey John and Vitor, I haven't backed many projects on Kickstarter but I have to say that this was a wonderful experience. I've had my Hidden Radios around 6 months now and I must say that I use them almost on a daily basis. It's been nice to get rid of my big clunky speakers and just have something small and sleek. I also take some pride in showing them around and telling people 'I helped make it happen' with my backing heheh, maybe I was only a small part but very proud to be a part of this! All the best guys!

Big surprise, the horribly placed USB port is already broken, got 4 months use out of it. Thats like 25$ a month and total bs IMO.

I'm glad I funded the project, and I think John & Vitor gave it a good effort. The product does not live up to the hype through - the sound is inadequate, and the product is subpar overall.

The Hidden Radio works great for me as a good compact speaker. Hard for me to tell what is 90dB is but it easily fills up my place. Any more and it would be too loud. It goes nicely on my desk and compliments my macbook air really well (looks like it could have come from those guys at Apple). It makes also viewing shows online nicely amplified. A lot of people have noticed it in my place and often compliment the simplicity and just the cool design. Was great to come along on the ride and look forward to the new stuff these may have. Go Kickstarter!

Loving the Hidden speaker so far! I think the biggest issue so far has been that we have 2 of them in our apartment, and they both show up under the same name in Bluetooth device lists, so sometimes it's hard to find the right one. But other than that it's been great! Love being able to carry it around wherever we are in the apartment.

Just thought I would drop you a note to let you know how much I love my Hidden Radio speaker. I gave one to my daughter for Christmas and she loves hers too! My only wish is that someday I will be able to connect to more than one HR speaker at a time. I would love whole house coverage-can you imagine how sweet that would be?

There is possibility to connect a pair of HR&BTS to an audio source but it'll required some mods
That's by making custom audio cable by using the cable of a cheap earphone and replace both speaker heads with audio connectors. Connect earphone's original audio port to audio source, connect the audio connectors that replace the earphone's speakers to each HR&BTS, voila!
Stupid ridiculous mods and negating the HR&BTS design but only to say 'yes, you can connect two HR&BTS to a single source'.

@Luis - Sorry, bluetooth does not allow that.

During initial concept they thought they could do it by one device serving as a hub speaker rebroadcasting to other devices. In Update 5 on Dec 31, 2011 they posted that this proved unworkable due to potential interference between RF and BT.

I can pair any Bluetooth devices to my iDevice than pair it to other just fine.
Maybe you can try to delete the HR&BTS profile on your previous iPhone setting-bluetooth and turn BT off then pair it with your other iPhone.

Gunsta, I contacted support and they said no joy. It has to do with Apple's implementation of bluetooth. :(

tried to pair another iphone B and it's still searching?
i turned off iphone A but still no go.

i noticed the sound quality is not as good as i first used it.

I just wanted to thank you for putting together such an amazing project. I was an early bird backer and have really enjoyed the whole process. I loved all the lengthy updates too. Its shocking at how much effort is required to deliver a product of this quality.

The Hidden Radio really is a marvel of design. I heard you won a big design award in Germany. No surprise there. Its hard to find products, especially speakers that are both visually beautiful and so functional.

The Hidden radio has become part of my life. I use it everyday with the TuneIn Radio App where i stream live radio from around the world. I was recently in Amsterdam, listening to my favourite Sydney station. How good is that. I love the fact that i can control the volume with the volume buttons on my iphone. I dont even need to take it out of my pocket. The sound is great for such a small speaker. Its just fun to use and carry from room to room. I even listen to it whilst having dinner. Jazz and food. Who would have thought it would work so well?

My sister now has one, and does my mum and now my girlfriend. I think I'll get a white one next.

This was also my first Kickstarter project I backed. I am now a huge fan of the Kickstarter model and am hoping to start a project of my own. Thanks for the inspiration. Looking forward to see whats next from you guys. Keep it coming.

I'm pretty well happy with the quality of mine. They also made it clear many times before pledging closed that the functionality you are mentioning wasn't possible yet. All in all I like the product and I ended up being a very happy backer. Happy to sing their praise.

I've had these for a few months. I'm pretty disappointed with this Kickstarter. I missed the revision to the original design that allowed only one speaker to be used at a time from a device, which was the only reason I got 2 in the first place. The more I use these things the more I realize how bad the sound quality is. As for the radio function I find it practically useless, especially since you have no idea what station you're finding.

All in all I would never recommend these, and they have started to gather dust. A rather expensive paperweight, alas.

On the plus side I now better understand the premise of Kickstarter and have become much more judicious in backing projects. I really want to like the Hidden Radio but the initial buzz of getting these has completely dissipated through day to day usage.

Hi there, I actually forgot I had pledged for this project. I pledged $119 which for which I was to receive one silver Hidden Radio and still have not received one as of January 4, 2013. Which is extremely fishy given that u can actually buy one now on their website.

I guess I bought the Invisible Radio, what a load of crap. I can't believe these guys could forget my pledge!

What should I do?
