Update #6: Progression Update 4.2.12
Dear Progression Supporter:
Exciting news! We recently finished our first weekend of test shooting. Our cameras, location and beautiful food all came together and have resulted in the official Progression (teaser) trailer to whet your appetite. We will send it to you as soon as it’s complete.
We are continuing to assemble our Lawrenceville-centric cast and crew: Mark Knobil, our Director of Photography, did a beautiful job at the recent test shoot. Mark's work includes the cult-hit Mombies, although he has also worked on projects for PBS, National Geographic and the Discovery Channel.
Molly Alphabet has joined the production! Molly was born and raised in Lawrenceville and is a fantastic musician. Check out her video shot in Larryville: Molly Alphabet Video . We are delighted to be working with Molly and Chet Vincent and the Big Bend
Rachel Vallozzi our costume designer has already designed some fantastic looks for the movie. Rachel has her own line of upcycled vintage wear, Buttercup Blues. She has also been costuming for feature films and commercials that shoot on location in Pittsburgh.
Alex Falberg, a recent graduate of CMU, joined us for the shoot playing the role of “Humphrey.” Alex is a member of the PigPen ensemble— their The Mountain Song and Nightmare Story was named by The Huffington Post as one of the top five productions of 2011 Pig Pen in the HuffPo
We are also using your Kickstarter contribution to leverage the final funds necessary to bring Progression to the screen:We have just completed two grant proposals for the project. Regardless of your religious affiliation, please pray to the Gods of Granting for us!
And here’s the BIG NEWS: We are planning a progressive dinner fundraiser in Lawrenceville. The event will take place in June and will be open to a limited number of participants. We will send out more information about that event within the next few weeks.

Gab Cody is a seriously funny playwright and filmmaker. She uses her skills as a storyteller and producer-- as well as a classically trained actor, improviser and standup comedian-- to create hilariously brain-agitating works. Her plays, films and live shows-- whether inspired by commedia dell'arte, Nietzsche's philosophy, 1930’s screwball comedy or 1960’s horror films-- are always funny and insightful. Her credits include the cult hit short film Mombies, the original stage comedies Crush the Infamous Thing, Prussia: 1866, Fat Beckett and The Sisters Grey, and regular appearances on WDVE’s The Jim and Randy Show.
Sam Turich is a director, writer and actor. With Gab Cody he co-created Mombies, which screened at film festivals across America and Europe, and the original stage comedy Crush the Infamous Thing: The Adventures of the Hollywood Four, which had its world premiere at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami after workshops at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and Urban Stages in New York. Sam played the lead in Kyle Jarrow’s Armless, winner of the Best Overall Production Award at the New York International Fringe Festival. In New York, Sam was a writer and performer in Weekly Review, the original news-parody musical.
