What is Vela

Vela is a music aggregator that currently includes Spotify, Rhapsody, Rdio.  You say a song or artist, Vela listens, and searches one of these sites for your songs and plays it back for you.  You speak. Vela hears. Music plays.

Why we're on Kickstarter.

Vela started development in 2010 (2 full years ago!) but, like so many app developers went through some hard times with not so great programmers, time delays, missed deadlines, and broken promises and it used almost all of our funds. The goods news. We've now put together a stellar team! (of all US employees) We've been able to put together a great first app with very limited resources and extremely quickly.

The problem is that it's not finished. We had planned to also include some of the free music services like Youtube and 8Tracks to give an option to those who don't want to purchase a subscription for music. We also wanted to build and Android version. And today those additions are still our 2 biggest requests.

Help us complete Vela and have a voice control music application that can be used by everyone regardless of iPhone or Android or if they use paid of free legal music!

Music Services

If you don’t have a music subscription you will get a free trail when you purchase Vela.  But we're also working to integrate free music radio with Youtube and 8Tracks as well.

Voice Control Your Music

Vela software was built to be the most useful in a car and we would like to integrate in to automotive stereos in the future for safe use while driving.  For now we have an app for iPhone.  Below shows the music services with work with so far. 

Vela is the first app that uses voice technology with on-demand music. Not even with Siri, can you voice request music from these services. Siri only works with purchased songs downloaded on your phone from iTunes.
