So, the big question comes out. Why am I on Kickstarter?
As of now, Luke’s Situation is an e-book for sale on the Kindle, Nook, and the PC. My goal is to bring it into the physical world with a paperback printing.
Kindle’s are awesome, don’t get me wrong, but I love love LOVE real books. I like the weight of them in my hands. I like the smell of their pages. And I like to put them down without fearing that I’m going to accidentally sit on them and break their screens (whoops!). Yes, these subtle facts may make me sound a bit weird, but that’s cool because all writers are a little bit weird!
That’s the fun part! Because being weird enables us to create such awesome stories (and I hope you feel that Luke’s Situation is one of them)!
As an Indie author, I’m faced with many fees that the traditional author doesn’t have to face: setup fees, printing fees, ISBN numbers, copyrights, webhosting. In short, I pay these dues whether or not I sell a single book. And that bites!
But that tiny little problem can be solved by YOU! And if you help me, I’ll show my gratitude by giving away some goodies!
