## Got It!

Funded! This project successfully raised its funding goal on May 6, 2012.

Got It! is a math card game where players compete to find a formula leading to the result on a goal card (in blue).

So far there have only been 100 copies of Got It! manufactured at high cost using a Print-On-Demand printer. Based on the very positive response on the first 100 units (a local store sold 50 copies), I'd like to take production to the next level and get 1000 units produced with new graphics. For this, I need a bit more cash. This is a cool little math game, as math games go, and I've played it over 200 times. I'm hoping it'll be as addictive for students as it is for me. The new version will have some different outer graphics, but will otherwise be the same game.

The game is pretty straightforward. A goal card is turned over, and in a 6x6 grid of numbers and operators, all the players simultaneously try to find a formula consisting of 5 adjacent cards, using 3 numbers and 2 operators. Once they find a formula, they shout out "Got It!" and take the goal card as a point. Once the goal card deck is consumed, whoever has the most goal cards wins.

For example, if the goal card was "16", a player might find 2x4+8 (near the right side of the grid) and call out "Got It!" for the point, showing the players the cards she used. Note that you are allowed to bracket an equation anyway you wish; 2x4+8 could just as well be 2x(4+8)=24.

Previous games I've worked on include Wiz-War, Drakon, Cavetroll, Lightspeed and WayWord. Got It! isn't anything like those games, but it's still a lot of fun. I've received quotes from artists and printers to get Got It! made, now all I need is the part of the funds I can't provide myself. Help me get this to print.

### FAQ

• Yes, in the rules you can select a 5x5 grid with only plus (+) and minus (-) operators, and you only have to try for goals of 1 to 20.

• I believe we have settled on the following 6 cards: EXPONENTIATION (3^2=9), MODULO (17%4=1), INTEGER DIVISION (9\7=1), CONCATENATION (3&4=34), FACTORIAL DIVISION (5!/3!=20), and BASE (11 BASE 2 = 3). There will also be new numbers 15 through 20, and the option to play by one player announcing a number, with the other players required to find it.
