Hi Mauricio,

Thank you for providing all the updates on Cicada Princess, it's great to hear about your journey. I just tried to load the DVD on my computer, but for some reason it won't run. Would it be possible for you to provide the online link for the video? I would love to watch this now that I have time.

Thanks Mauricio, but don't worry about it, I've responded by email too but basically I just wanted to let you know to hopefully improve packaging for others, particularly international postage as I'm guessing they'll go through a lot more than domestic parcels. I glued it together and my daughter is more than happy with it, she's already telling her friends she's got a film star staying in her room :)

Just got into work to find my blu-ray, Cicada princess and bridge bug had arrived. Sadly the princess didn't make it through the shipping process in one piece, quite a bit of paint chipped off and her legs are broken off. Fortunately it looks like the legs were broken where it was glued together in the first place so I should be able to fix that easily enough, the paint chipping there's not much I can do about that but I'm sure my kids won't mind that much, Amelie will be very excited that it's finally here, and I can't wait to watch it with them tonight.

Mauricio, maybe if you've got any bugs left to ship out you might reconsider the packaging, there really wasn't enough paper in there to keep the princess safe and sound (two pieces of crumpled up paper on top of it, and a sheet of it in the bottom), it's a real shame for any kids out there looking forward to getting these and doesn't do justice to the work people obviously put into making and painting them in the first instance. I know funds are tight but I'm sure packing materials like those inflatable bags or something would keep her a lot safer and I would hope wouldn't be excessively expensive?

So my blu-ray came in while I was out of town, and I thought I'd requested blu-ray, but it hasn't played in either of the blu-ray players I've attempted to use. Is it possible that there's an encoding issue or what else could be the problem?

Received my DVD today. Finally had a moment to watch it! It is breathtaking. It is visually stunning and fragile!! Trust that not an hour, a minute, or a second was wasted-the excellence in artistry is evident in every shutter, twinkle, scene, note of the score and whisper of the voice. I will listen to the cicadas with a smile on my face and a glimmer of hope, that somewhere, lies another one, with a smile on its face and a glass slipper in its pocket. Will more be available to buy? I must give this piece of art as gifts!!! Thank you for such a beautiful film!!

I received my dvd today and I only wish I could write as beautifully as you can tell a story. It was a beautiful, lyrical jewel of a film and it will take pride of place in my collection. Getting Stephen Fry was the cherry on top and his narration, as well as the narrative, was glorious. I'm really looking forward to getting my bridge bug and will wait patiently for it to come in.

Thank you again for creating such a wonderful little film. I've got to say I'm truly shocked it didn't get picked for Sundance. It really should have.

So... I chose the Blu-Ray because I got scared off from getting theDVD with the parenthetical warning. My reward level was for an HD DVD, but the survey said it was only a standard DVD. Are those two different things? Ultimately, I want to be able to view this on my iPad. If it comes on DVD, then I can get it there. If it comes on Blu-Ray, then I'm stuck watching this at home...
Either way, I am excited to see it... just curious if I should have stayed with DVD?

Do we know when we will receive figurines/bridge bugs/puppets etc now filming is wrapped?

Congratulations! I must have watched the trailer 100 times and I can't wait until the project is completed. I am a passionate fan of both Tim Burton and stop-motion animation. The look and feel really stirs something deep in my heart, so thanks for the inspiration.
