Hello,

I am the writer/director of an up-coming independent feature film titled "Northeast." I used to direct a relatively-unknown MTV sketch comedy show called "North Palm Wrestling," and after that show was canceled, I was given the opportunity to make my first feature.

A couple years later, we have just finished editing the movie, and it has some really wonderful performances from the likes of David Call ("Two Gates of Sleep," "Tiny Furniture"), Eléonore Hendricks ("Daddy Longlegs," "The Pleasure of Being Robbed") Tate Ellington ("Remember Me," "The Elephant King"), and many more. I promise you the acting is great. Thus far, it has gotten very positive reactions, even being called "Stunning, a stylized poetic realism." As it stands, we are looking to raise finishing funds in order to give our little movie the best possible chance of being accepted into film festivals.

As a really low-budget production, we took a huge gamble when we made this film by shooting it on 16mm knowing that we didn’t have the money to finish it. Yet, we were adamant that shooting film was the way to go in order to tell the story that we wanted to tell, even though it was more expensive than video. Having done that, we are now in the predicament of needing to raise more money. You can help us raise the necessary funds.

This money will not go to waste. It will enable us to do both a first-pass sound mix and color correction, a proper HDCam output, as well as to help us pay for the incredibly expensive festival submission and delivery fees.
