Director Josh Soskin began his directing career in the documentary world where he directed short docs for Current TV including a half hour special, "Modern Day Pirates" that won him national attention. In 2007 he left Current, co-founded Houseblend Media and began directing tv, commercial, and film in earnest. In 2009 Josh directed the narrative short, Love Stinks, which screened at several film festivals across the country. His first music video, "Amalgam" recently won Best Music Video at the 2011 OC Music Awards, his 60 second commercial "Detention" took the Grand Prize for Microsoft's commercial competition at Mofilm/Tribeca, and most recently his short spot, "Treasure" won the Grand Prize for Vitamin Water's competition at Cannes Lion. He is currently putting his heart into "Moving Takahashi".

Yes! Just wrapped up post production and we are in the process of submitting to a bunch of festivals. It looks like the first festival we are set to play at is Napa Valley Film Festival this November. We will handling gifts and DVDs for backers and hopefully have those out in the next few weeks as well.

This group of talented professionals show great promise in their work. I went to their last short and was taken by how far above their film stood after seeing the others. You will be seeing more of them in the future. They love their work and do it well.
