In our fast paced world of multi-tasking, I believe having a reason to stop and focus is a gift. Stitching is a way to do this and make something beautiful with your own hands. I sincerely believe that bringing fresh new looks to the world of cross stitch will fill a void in the crafting world.

Starting with an image taken from a painting, working with beautiful linen, embroidery floss and tiny delicate glass beads- you are a far cry from the puppies, kittens, and "Bless this Mess" kits that we know as cross stitch.  When I went looking for a project myself, I soon realized that although the folky looks are appealing and wonderful, my interests were not being met.  I wanted something more contemporary and unique- I wanted to stitch my paintings. 

The money I receive will pay for the first pieces to be stitched by professional stitchers, a booth at the National Needlework Trade show in Columbus, Ohio this June, my plane ticket and hotel at the show, and all of the start-up packaging materials to have a superior product to sell.  I want to hit the ground running with all 4 lines- flowers, Paris Cafes, Fresh Fruit, and the Recipe series.
