First and foremost please accept our sincere apology for being so late with these!
In the end, it took about twice as long as we had originally hoped it would, but why?
Maybe this will better explain:
150 x NOD Characters printed in the wrong colors in the color testing phase
125 x Miles to Pick up Drying Rack
4 x Gallons of Ink
180 x Pounds of paper
260 x Characters
50 x Copies of each character
??? x Hours Matt spent printing with many late nights!
12 x Hours Cutting
5 x Hours sorting prints in numerical order
10 x Hours Signing
??? x Days Packaging !
13,000 x NOD Prints!
$1000 x Over budget!
50 Bazillion x Hiccups, Roadblocks & Setbacks!
The bottom line is that is that my (Andy) skills are in the making of the art, and no matter how hard I tried to wrap my head around the magnitude of the project, I always underestimated.
Luckily for me Matt of Goodnight Sweet Prints and my wife Sophie put in a crazy effort and more than overcompensated for my weaknesses! I am so grateful to them because I literally would not have stood a chance without them!
The good news? We (you are included in the word "we") did it! Andy J. Miller's dream-like universe of NOD is here!
We appreciate your faith in us as well as your patience while we have been perfecting our process.
What you hold in your hand are hand-pulled prints made with with non-toxic inks on 100# whipped cream French Paper and every step of the process was done by us in our shop.
We hope you enjoy displaying these in your home as much as we enjoyed printing them for you.
About 60% of the Kickstarter packages have just been sent and the rest will be sent over the next week! Let me know how they adjust to their new environments!
<3 Matthew, Sophie and Andy
