Help fund Tracy Silverman's new CD, "Between the Kiss and the Chaos", featuring the Calder Quartet.
Funds raised through Kickstarter will help record, produce and manufacture a CD entitled "Between The Kiss and the Chaos." The centerpiece of this CD will be a composition called "Between the Kiss and the Chaos", an original electric violin concerto composed by Tracy Silverman, originally scored for electric violin and orchestra and debuted with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra in January 2010. This 30 minute work has been arranged by Tracy for electric violin and string quartet and will be performed for this recording by the Calder Quartet, an internationally acclaimed string quartet from Los Angeles who focus on new music.
The project is scheduled to begin recording in June, 2012. Costs for recording include: musician fees, studio and sound engineer fees, travel and hotel expenses, mastering studio and mastering engineer fees, album art work, and manufacturing of the final CD. The estimated budget is $15,000.
The CD is set for release in October, 2012.
