Kickstarter

This film reflects the emotions and ideas of the young adults in our culture in a particular and unusual situation. I wrote the film very close to home. There are clear elements of a young, recent college graduate mindset throughout the film. The film shows young adults staring death in the face and how they deal with it.

Unfortunately, I do not have a full crew. I do not have a production company. I don't have anyone really... It is just me and a few of my friends lending a hand when they can. I have the knowledge and passion it takes to create a film with aesthetic beauty and effective storytelling and would like to transition this into something tangible. I wrote "30 Minutes to Swim" last year and have since been fine-tuning the story, dialogue, locations, shots etc. I would like to bring on some other knowledgable crew members to help me with this film. I would like to compensate them in some way and afford to feed them while on set.

This is where all you wonderful people come in. I would like to have someone other than my girlfriend doing the production work, wardrobe and make-up. I would like to direct, shoot and edit the film and not worry so much about lunch for my talent as well as rigging all of the lights on my own. I have learned that it is hard to make a film on a small budget, but not impossible.

The film takes place in a hotel dressed as an apartment. We need to make the location look as aesthetically interesting as possible as well as pay for it. Any funds left over from the hotel, food, and small crew expenses will be used for film festival submissions. The film is planned to be shot on an AF100 that has also been donated.

The script is cleaned up. Casting is coming to a close. Locations are almost set. The camera is ready to rock and the lights are ready to hang. All we need to do is begin production. With your help, my colleagues and I can make this film as good as we feel it has the potential to be.  This film is our little baby. We want to see it grow and  can use  your help!
