About this project
Hello friends and future friends!......."Web Series". So, here's the idea: A struggling comedy duo is promised a major network development deal if they can create a web series that gets over a hundred thousand views. The arc of the show then follows their efforts to create that successful webs series. So in essence, its a web series about trying to create a successful web series.
The cast of "Web Series" will be made up almost entirely of performers from the hit sketch comedy show "Underbelly". Which was named "Best Comedy Show" of 2009 by Cincinnati Magazine. These are enormously talented people, who will ensure that "Web Series" is the success that we all know it can be. Some of these people have appeared on Comedy Central's "Live at gotham" and have been heard on the the "Bob and Tom" radio show. The first season of "Web Series" is written and waiting to be produced. It has been for a while now. We (myself and co-creator Mike Cronin) have been waiting to start filming until we have the proper equipment to do so. We want the quality of the video and the production to be on par with the quality of the comedy. So now with the help of Kickstarter.com we have the opportunity to make that happen. All of the money raised will go towards the purchase of a new video camera, audio and lighting equipment, so that we can finally start production on "Web series".

My name is Alex Stone. I'm a comedian from Cincinnati, Ohio. I've written for Comedy Central, appeared on the Dutch television show "Witz", opened up for comedian Drew Hasting on his "Irked and Miffed" theatre tour, and was recently nominated for the "Club's Comic" award at Rooftop Comedy's Aspen comedy festival. I also wear a hat.
