Need to create a buzz for completed memoir "Tough as Nails," a family saga about my relationship to the women who raised me: My great grandmother, my grandmother, and finally, my mother. "Love, Aims" is the story about how my single young Mom and I both came of age and came out, rocking our matriarchal family to a crisis point where questions about love, family, sexuality, and loyalty are raised to the light. Imagine Mary Karr meets Tobias Wolf meets Kathryn Harrison--it's about bloodlines, sexuality, drinking, family loyalty, and mothers and daughters.
