This project will allow me to produce a 2013 calendar of the top images from my Anthropomorphic Marshmallow series.
I was sitting around a particularly boring part of Louisiana last winter, wondering what I could do to set myself apart in the photography world. What could keep me, and my viewers entertained. I wanted something humorous. I looked over at a bag of marshmallows on the kitchen table... and the Marshmallow Microcosm was born.
This cannibalistic little pillow of sugary goodness was my first image. I was hooked. My three year old niece was hooked. Hey if I could amuse a 30 something and a three year old at the same time, I knew I was onto something. I was in love.
So I kept going. Soon I had enough for a 2012 calendar. And people liked these little guys so much, I actually sold quite a few with little marketing.
Early in 2012 people started asking if I would do a 2013 calendar! So I got moving and started shooting more little scenes from the Marshmallows' world. Now I just need to get it produced!
I started with marshmallows and found bits and pieces. And its growing. Its my version of a lemonade stand. I just need a bit of help to get it produced and marketed this year.
