We're gearing up for a great event. The A/V is taken care of, the menu for various tastes is set (yum), the Wednesday reception is being prepared, lanyards are on stand by waiting for the final list, the T-shirt printer is waiting for a green light on the final design.

We are super excited to let you know that we've opened registration at DConf 2013 on top of a very compelling program: http://dconf.org/schedule/index.html.

We're in the midst of a marathon right now with reviewing submissions (of we had to reject more than half!), site arrangements, transportation, and such, but the hardest part is behind us and we can say this will be a heck of a get-together.

We'd like to thank again to all our contributors. Every dollar counted for sponsoring travel of excellent speakers from all over the world, which makes for the strong schedule. Those of you who contributed at the early bird level and above are already registered - looking forward to seeing you there!

Congratulations everyone! As we were sending the last update, the funding has reached $1 above the limit.

This is terrific and we hope to see many of you at the conference. Those who can't make it, hope you'll enjoy the videos, which, as we promised, will be open and free.

If we succeed, not only we establish a hopefully perennial conference on the D programming language, but we create a precedent for similar conferences on awesome topics in programming languages in particular, and on Information Technology in general. As far as we know this is the first funding campaign of its kind, so your names will go in the annals of history as early visionaries.
