About this project
The Existential Giraffe is a fun, quasi-kids story about a giraffe trying to figure out if he's real, and whether or not that matters to his life at all. The story is amusing for adults, and entertaining for kids. Click the video to see the entire story.
The Existential Giraffe is the first story by Eric Kesselman and Agman Games. The story is beautifully illustrated by Erica Missey.
I've been told by a number of literary agents that 'smart books' for kids don't sell. I'd like to prove them wrong. Dozens of children have read this story, and all came away pleased (even if they run to the dictionary afterwards to look up 'existential.')
Thanks to everyone for their support! If this project launches, I was thinking it would be the start of a series of philosophically based children's books. Perhaps the Nihilistic Sea Otter is next? I'm open to suggestions!
