Update #7 · Jun 12, 2012 · 2 comments

Oh, hello friends!

I'm back (and have been) from the most amazing journey that you helped make possible. California was a dream and I wanted to share with you what I was able to make there.

(Aren't they lovely?)

And while my trip and workshop might be over, the journey into collodion photogrpahy has only begun. This trip put the silver nitrate into my hands and heart. I am outfitting a camera as we speak. Chemicals have been ordered. I feel confident and inspired and truly excited.. And I am gearing up to take your picture.

I can't wait to share more with you.

I hope you all got your postcards. Your goodies are soon to come.

XO

Update #5 · Feb 23, 2012 · comment

Hey y'all!! T-minus 4 days and tins my type IS happening. I cannot wait to start making beautiful things.. Until then and in the mean time, my dear dear friend Don Cooper found this little short film about a very talented man making tintypes. I feel like Mr. Coffer breaks it down and explains quite well the beauty of it all. Take a moment and escape to a more gentle world..

In other news, a new reward has been posted..

Happy Thursday.

I cannot thank you enough for being a part of my project and I am so excited to share my tin types with you. May will not come soon enough!! In the meantime, here are some more modern tintypes that are some of my favorites. Enjoy!!
