e20 System Evolved reached it's goal, but it was 10k. But many of the people here that have pledged might be able to back-pledge and get in on e20 - it's different but it might have some qualities that people were looking forward to with P20. I'm bummed about this. It looked so promising on the Paizo boards - but we must be the same 85 people that posted there.

This is unfortunate, but I think we all saw this coming, hopefully the guys at super genius will come up with a plan b quickly as they said they would.

I wish I could have given more, but am indeed glad I could give something. I am unsure where this will all end up, but the idea of the Modern game and, in specific, a high quality Modern game, I find both intriguing and inspiring. Come what may, I think we could all benefit from a remythologizing and reenchanting of the modern world.

Really sad that this does not look like it's going to happen and I don't have enough time in the day to write the conversions myself.

However, as I am the muscle behind the "Pathfinder Database", how many people out there would be interested in a Community based site with conversions of d20 Modern for Pathfinder submitted by fans?

Hi all - I'm with Brian Harris on this. Make a PDF / JPG flyer and I'll pass it out at two of the local game stores as well as at our April 10th Vegas Game Day. As it stands it doesn't look good. Hopefully a few patrons with more money and some sense will come knocking on the door.

      :(

Hey, Super-Genius: Any chance of you folks designing a flashy printable flyer or something that we could distribute around at game stores and other locales?

I mean, I know I could make my own, but my skills lie in other areas, and an "official" distributable advert would be handy...

Tablemate pestering done. In fact, I've been pestering anyone who's ever sat at my table. And I second Salcor with the hopes for a resurgence of Dawning Star. Hopefully, this will move forward and save the OGL market from total collapse at the hands of a large, evil toy emperor who shall not be named.

@DM Doom - that was talked about last night on the blogtalkradio. Whether stat based classes or base classes w/ talent trees ... it all depends on what the majority of the fans wants when spoken with their dollars and voices heard. SGG vows to go in the direction their pledged fans want to go. C'mon aboard! :D

    18. Missing_thumb
DM Doom on March 12, 2010

I'm interested, but concerned, will you be making everything backwards compatible? What about the classes? The one thing I loathed about D20 Modern was the stat based classes. Also, if you guys don't reach the financial goal, what happens? Any chance of you publishing primarily to PDF and then making 'print on demand' available at Lulu or something?

Well, I went by the fact that when I finished paying it was listed at 5 backers for $250. But you can actually see the time people registered by clicking the "Backers" link above these posts.

@george I'd put some thought into this over the last several days, and think I'd actually rather create a villain anyway. Though if I'd been in the first six it would have required some Very Serious Thought to decide which way to go.

    27. Missing_thumb
George Monioudis on March 2, 2010

Its also not impossible for one of the first 6 to decide on a villian instead of an iconic. So spots 7 and 8 are not completely out of the running. I am considering it but definately leaning toward iconic

    28. Greggbodhi.thumb
Gregg Bender on March 2, 2010

To quote Owen: But there are still LOTS of opportunities to get "spiffs," which still includes having a character based on you or based on your requested design. (I promise, there will be a lot more than six characters in the final book, though the iconics do get the special attention. Anyone every want to be a recurring villain?)

    29. Fb_profile_picture.thumb
David Swim on March 2, 2010

Curses! Missed an iconic by one ... though I liked Owen's off-hand comment of being a recurring villain. This is exactly the sort of thing my NPC would brood over, I'm sure!

    30. Grogn3rd.thumb
      tallforadwarf on March 2, 2010

I just got in there for an iconic, at #5. I had to phone my wife on the bus to get her credit card details! She wants props for this as by the time she got home the first 6 were gone! Go wife!

I really hope this gets off the ground!
