Funds will support the production of visual materials analyzing the impact of globalization.
This photographic project began in 1999 when I walked out my front door in Seattle, Washington, USA and headed downtown to the World Trade Organization meeting and related protests. Thus far, the project includes a series of interrelated photo essays starting with the Seattle protests and continuing with studies on coffee producers struggling for living wages in Mexico, young hip-hop musicians from the Middle East, and climate change demonstrations in Copenhagen. I'd like to continue to document the impact of social, cultural, and environmental changes at home and abroad related to globalization. Each case study will analyze how these changes can beneficially or detrimentally impact people and places.

The Kickstarter funds will be applied toward production of a collector's edition book and selected prints from the entire series of essays, thus far. The 8x10 print that is available as a reward, produced upon delivery of the Kickstarter funds, is your choice of an image from my website.

The funds raised will go towards production, including scanner rentals, publishing, and printing costs. Ideally, an exhibition of the prints will follow, accompanied by the book.
