About this project
Hello everyone!
The MetropoliTones, New York’s singing-est eclectic group of harmonic heartbreakers, is heading to the recording studio this spring to cut a fantastic album! We’ll be recording everything from original compositions to jazz to french pop, and we need your help. We’re fundraising so we can spend as much time recording and mixing as possible with our favorite recording engineer in Woodstock.
We’re lucky enough to have amazing friends, family and fans who have supported us endlessly in our harmonic endeavors. In return for your support this time, we’ve set up a system of rewards, ranging from a free digital copy of the album to personal concerts to writing or arranging a song just for you! We also have a group member who makes cakes. Do you like cakes?
It’s been 4 years since the Tones recorded our last album, and we’ve accomplished a lot since then! We have new members, a different sound, and lots of new and exciting arrangements. We’ve been performing, singing our hearts out and working really hard this year to prepare for our bright and shiny new CD. This album is going to bring joy into your homes and help us get more gigs! (We just sang the National Anthem for the Jets at their spectacular last game at Giants Stadium - and we're booked to sing at Madison Square Garden in mid-January. How's that for a place to start?!)

all the above + we’ll call you a “Super Angel” in our liner notes. Then Eliza, our master cake-maker will design a cake for you. You tell her what to make and she’ll make it. It could be anything from Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” to Homer Simpson, to what the world will look like in the year 4000. Then we’ll throw you a party where there will be singing, dancing, and great food. And we’ll love you forever. (New York only).
