A dark comedy about friendship, unemployment and really bad choices.

Floyd and Nelson have been friends for years and are both unemployed. Floyd's unemployment benefit has just run out and Nelson's wife has threatened to leave him. In a desperate attempt to get back on their feet and save Nelson's marriage, the boys decide to pursue a life of crime.

After a series of haphazard attempts at rolling drunks, mugging people at ATM machines and petnapping, the boys decide to go for the gold and knock off a liquor store. Their luck changes as they pull up to a store and notice another masked duo beating them to the punch. The boys decide to mug the robbers as they flee the scene.

Randy and Scab are two junkies who fund their habit by way of convenient and liquor store robbery. Their needs often outweighs their wallets and currently owe a notorious and dangerous drug dealer known as "The Pencil Pusher" a large sum of money which must be paid by midnight. Randy and Scab have just spent the night collecting funds via a rash of robberies only to lose it all to Floyd and Nelson. They must do whatever they can to retrieve their swag or be erased by "The Pencil".

Floyd and Nelson get themselves further into a sticky wicket as they are pursued by Randy and Scab, witness a double homicide, evade a pair of police detectives suffering from John Wayne syndrome and find themselves in the sights of the "The Pencil Pusher".

The film is inspired by the harsh reality of unemployment and the desperate measures some people may have considered.

Sticky Wicket was written by Paul J. Baio and Jimmy Dean Carlson and will be directed by Paul. Principal photagraphy will begin in Los Angeles mid October. Four principal roles have already been cast. This is an ultra-low budget production which pushes the envelope of the Mumblecore movement (Baghead, Funny Ha Ha).

Some who love the pitch have already pledged their skill, talent and time to make Sticky Wicket the best it can be. Why do we need funding? We need certain specialty props, memory cards, decent audio gear, be able to feed are actors and micro-crew who are volunteering their time for free, etc.

If we don't reach our goal, we won't receive any of your much appreciated pledges. If you can't pledge, you can help us greatly by spreading the word. Please, forward this kickstarter page to everybody you think may be interested.

Thank you for your time, consideration and support! Please read our update blog for more and new info.
