I have been selected to be a threewalls Artist-in-Research resident from March 1-25.

threewalls is a non-for-profit organization supported by grants and donations.  This Kickstarter campaign is intended to subsidize my material and living costs during the course of my stay.

This video is both a brief introduction to my work as well as a request for monetary support regarding my residency term.  In humble appreciation for your support, I will gift you from the selections you see to the right.  Your generous donation will not only be supporting my residency costs, but also threewalls.

Navigating a space between the concepts of the visible and invisible, I experiment with ideas of human expectancy and non-human intuitives.  In other words, how communication is misread, abnormally reassembled, creating a ghost of the initial interaction. I work to develop my content through my awareness of social relations and choices in materials. I develop constant unfamiliarness with these interactions.

When last in Chicago, I had the opportunity to meet several other artists and visit several exhibition spaces.  In addition to building an artistic relationship and discussion with threewalls, I welcome the opportunity to further relationships that had the chance to begin when I was last in Chicago and begin new ones.  I am currently living in Brooklyn, NY and have subsequently fallen into a rather large group of other artists who have previously lived and worked in Chicago.  The atmosphere of Chicago (including the dumpsters and alleys of which are not so publicly accessible in Brooklyn), the dioramas at the Field Museum, Adler planetarium and the Garfield Park Conservatory are needed in my study and reference.  All of these locations are necessary to my research regarding human and non-human relationships.  In addition to several taxidermy practices in the Chicago area that I hope to visit, I also plan to research the trained Anomalist, Chicago born and educated J. Allen Hynek.

If you don't already know, Kickstarter is an "all or nothing" fundraising system.  If I raise  $999.00 and not the stated goal of $1,000.00, then you are not charged, you will not receive your gift and I will receive no funding.  If I reach my stated goal, you then receive your gift.
