About this project
Hello and thank you for your interest in our project. With your help, we hope to launch our new fashionable, high-performance and one-of-a-kind eyewear collection.
For almost 8 years, Erlik, has been designing and producing sunglasses by using the latest in eyewear technology to create urban, modern and high-performance models. Our unique and pending patent of ultra flexible elastomer hinges allows our glasses’ temples to open and close fluidly and without ever breaking. As a result, our glasses fit all face shapes and offer unparalleled and customized comfort.
Our sunglasses are quite popular, so much so that today, our clients are asking us to create an ophthalmic collection with the same technology.
The ophthalmic line's complexity lies in the fact that a prescription lens’ curve is considerably different than that of sunglasses. To prevent this curvature from weakening our optical frames and to offer you the same comfort and quality, we needed to completely rethink and redesign our flexible hinges: we reviewed the calculations and many technical steps involved in the making and engineering of the models, we created new models of hinges and now, after several trials and errors, we are happy to offer you a glimpse at our new prototypes.
Erlik is one of the only brands that offers an assortment of fashionable temples that can be easily switched to create different looks and match each individual style.
I am asking for your support to help get this project off the ground. The creation of this new collection has required a great deal of time, ingenuity and energy. Our company is well established, but rather small, which is why we need you, Kickstarters, in order to go into production with our moulds and tooling for this new collection.
