Doubling Down
You are all awesome. My expectations for this project have been blown away. I have gone from offering a fun little game on a whim to having a product line and a living campaign. Make no mistake - this is because of my Backers, my audience - you guys. Thank you.
We are in the last hours of the Kickstarter. Some of you have said that even though DwarfCon sounds like fun you are unlikely to be able to make it to Austin, making that final stretch goal uninteresting to you. Gotcha. Tell you what - I am going to add the 35k goals to the 30k goals. That means if we cross the 30k finish line I'll arrange a con, I'll write a multipath book and perform a Dwarven ballad for y'all in full costume.
There are only 35 hrs left as of this writing. Precious little time. I have been doing interviews, I bought ads and have been spreading the word every way I know how. Once again I have to ask you guys to do what you can to get us to that last goal.
I know we can do it! I'll see you on the other side!

You will also receive a patch for your jacket, book bag or kilt with that Clan's emblem.

RETAILERS - I haven't priced the retail version yet but it is likely going to be $25 or so when it comes out. And for those of you who haven't seen the concept art, the dwarven bard from Stonehaven looks very much like a dwarven bard should... a hard rock mandolinist. And no, I am neither kidding nor apologizing for that pun. :-)

The pun is always intended where I come from, largely because the pun is mightier than the sword. I make no such claims in contests against dwarven axes or hammers, however, because being hit in the face with such weapons, if not fatal, will at the very least cause severe damage to one'th faith, and such a sight can be inspiring in a wholly different way. As previously noted, all of the preceding puns were very much intended. :-)

$446 to go! That's less than $25 per hour; one person upping for the clan patches every 45 minutes will get us there, and that's not a lot of activity. Really. Let's see if we can hit 450 backers.

Any word from Mike on whether the anthology could be made into a hardcover? If it isn't a hardcover, unfortunately it won't make it into my library. Can you let us know before the project ends whether it will or will not be a hardcover? Even if the anthology would be a bit more expensive as a hardcover, that is what I would prefer for my money. Or, if $30,000 is reached, maybe it could be upgraded to a hardcover? (wink - wink - nudge - nudge - know what I mean? - know what I mean?) Everything else sounds GREAT!
