Kickstarter

Simply put, THERE IT WAS is a story about the commitment and sacrifice one makes to their loved one.  Sacrifice is such a complex and interesting thing for me to explore.  This script is extremely personal to me and I couldn’t be more excited to shoot the film. 

The 7-page script centers around John, a college kid, who calls his girlfriend, Olivia, who lives across the country to break up with her.  But as the movie goes on, we get the feeling that something isn’t quite right.  John is struggling just to get the words out of his mouth and it is breaking his heart just say this to her.  So after he finally finishes the phone call, he walks into the building he was standing in front of, which we now see is a hospital.  He walks into his doctor’s office, which has a sign next to the door that says “RADIATION TREATMENT”. 

My crew and I have been working hard to get everything we need to tell this story in the best way we can.  We are going for a completely natural feel on this film. Right now, I am looking for the best actors I can find and I will be having a set of auditions in a week. 

We will be using your generous donations for gear rentals, feeding the cast/crew, transportation, wardrobe, props, and post-production.  Kickstarter is such an amazing resource for filmmakers like myself, who are in need of assistance from kind people such as you.  I am happy just to be a part of it.
