So it's been a while, yes?

Those of you who have donated have waited almost a year, well 9 months, and I am happy to tell you the movie is almost done. There were some ups and downs, but I think we made it through with a very nice project. 

My final review boards are the first week of April which means a very clean rough cut will be done by then, a rough cut that will also be submitted to the Student Academy Awards! 

A month after that on May 6 will be our premiere in Boston. All of you should come. 

That's the news. I still need some of your addresses for the DVDs and if they have changed since you gave them to me, please send me your new one.

So I didn't post this here because it was horrible news, but they wanted to drain the lake I was planning on shooting at. BUT they decided not to do it. I can still shoot hooray.

Script is done, monster is being built, friends are making props to be used in the film, casting in september. THIS THING IS HAPPENING!

On a side note, if you know the name of the lake, forget it. Residents have informed me that while I am allowed to shoot this project they don't want our awesome lake to be exposed, so for all production purposes the lake and movie will now be known as _______ Island/Lake. (I will fill in the blank later).

So a picture of the lake monster has been quickly concocted by our wonderful artist Lauren Saint-Onge.

This is by no means a fully rendered picture, and construction has not yet begun.

Anything can happen from here folks.

Still waiting for some stories to put into the script.

60 days left and we just passed the goal!

I went to class this morning after sending that message to come home only to find out that we did it. I can't thank you enough and I will be sure to get everyones contact information when it comes time to send out the rewards.

I still plan on posting pictures of the lake monster and I have footage of the lake itself which I will post in the next few days so stay tuned for more updates about the project.

So it has come to my attention that some people were confused about the rewards. If you pledge for a higher reward you get everything under it. So if you give $250 for a poster, you also get a DVD and your name in the credits.

I am also going to the location to do some scouting tomorrow, so within the next week I should be able to show everyone a glimpse of what is to come.

I know it's very early in the project, But I have received so much of my goal already.

I want to say thank you to everyone who donated so far and thanks for the support to everyone else.

I plan on posting pictures of the monster as they come along, and I want to introduce myself along with the other writer in a more formal manner when the time comes.

I am still writing the script (it's mostly done), but I NEED YOUR HELP!

There is a section of the script where background stories of the lake monster are required. I want your stories, your ideas, your input about different attacks/sightings/myths about the monster so I can incorporate them into the script.

The more ideas I get the more opportunity there will be for different people to appear in the film.

If your story goes in you will get an additional credit in the movie!
