Natsuyo is a time-distortion puzzle platformer. The protagonist travels back in time to solve puzzles and help her bestfriend Aito.
“Natsuyo: The girl who leapt through time” is a time-distortion puzzle game for iOS. The game is about a happy-go-lucky girl named Natsuyo. She is no ordinary girl. Infact, she is anything but ordinary. A few years back, Natsuyo accidentally found a device in her science lab that gave her the power to leap through time. She runs through time mostly to either get out of trouble or to help her best friend Aito; who somehow manages to get into trouble all the time.
This project is about creating a truly immersive puzzle-game by having great gameplay mechanics, upbeat soundtrack, nice graphics and challenging puzzles.
The protagonist is a sweet girl named Natsuyo who has to travel back in time to solve some pretty challenging puzzles. During the game, all of your actions are recorded. On every level, you have the option to rewind time. As soon as you rewind time, the level starts anew; except now your body double is re-enacting your earlier play step-by-step. You have to work with your previous selves to solve puzzles. The faster you solve these puzzles; the more point you get.
Natsuyo sample puzzle: To solve the puzzle, Natsuyo jumps to lower level, and picks up the key; two boxes with question marks disappear. Natsuyo has no way to jump back up. So she rewinds time. Her body double performs her earlier actions step-by-step. She waits for the blocks to disappear and jumps over to get to the stairs.
The gameplay is inspired by a couple of flash games that came out a few years back namely, Chronotron and The Company of Myself. If you haven’t played either of these games, I highly recommend them.

How is it different:
With this project, I’m striving to create a game that is different from other titles being released for the iOS ecosystem. Games like Cut the Rope and Contre Jour offer very similar puzzle mechanics. I personally haven’t seen many time-distortion puzzle games on the iOS app store. So, here is a chance for me to make something that a lot of people are going to enjoy.
Another defining characteristic of this game is going to be its music and soundtrack. The soundtrack is going to be inspired by a game that came out on PSP titled LocoRoco. The combination of challenging gameplay, cute graphics, decent story and nice soundtrack is going to differentiate us from the rest.
And as soon as I can secure some funding, I would hire a couple of people full-time to help me with the character design, animation and music.

Who am I:
My name is Awais. I'm a software developer based in Vienna, VA. I've been crazy about games ever since I was a little kid. And it has always been a dream of mine to create a game that people would enjoy as much as I've enjoyed other people's games. This project is my first shot at making that dream a reality. I’m pretty decent at writing code and designing nice UI.
I work full-time as a software developer. And I work on my personal projects after work. I have created a few apps for iPhone; which are available on the app store. These days Natsuyo is keeping me busy.
Why do I need your help:
Right now, I'm the only one working for 205L Games :). I've been working part-time on my personal projects. This funding will allow me to hire a couple more guys to help me out and work full-time on this project. Also, I would like to have the soundtrack to be a hallmark of the game and with your help I can hire someone really amazing to work on the music.
