Toasty Melts serves a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches on the streets of SF while being active participants in the community.
Toasty Melts started in August 2009 as an (illegal) mobile pushcart in San Francisco serving grilled cheese sandwiches with a twist. We wanted to start a food cart since we both love food and wanted to be part of the cart movement that was sprawling across the Bay Area. Also, we wanted to benefit the community around us and decided to donate a portion of sales to benefit The San Francisco Food Bank, an organization that is important to both of us.
Our little cart was featured on a show on TLC and we were thrilled when we were selected as one of the cheesiest things to eat in SF. Our video shows what we do when we roll out the cart onto the streets but our BIG goal is to drive a big truck and serve the wonderful people of the Bay Area. The Bay Area has embraced the mobile food truck community and we feel it is a good time to enter Toasty Melts into the market as a legitimate mobile business.
We are getting close to getting all the money we need to launch the truck but we still need funding to acquire city permits and equipment for our truck. Please help us grow and expand our little grilled cheese cart to a BIG truck. Thank you and we look forward to serving you some tasty Toasty Melts!
