About this project
THE PROJECT:
The Glitter Guild is the combination of two adult themed burlesque and variety shows that will be premiering at GenCon, the largest gaming convention in the US, during the first week of August featuring performers from the Chicagoland area. We combine the love of gaming and geekery with sexy fun and mystifying magic; each show features acts with elements of burlesque, comedy and even freakshow. We will be taking the show on the road from the Windy City to Indianapolis for the weekend and sharing some bumps and grinds with our fellow gamers.

Thursday, August 4th - Glitter Guild Burlesque (ENT1120313)
From bawdy comedy to geeky striptease to mystifying magic, Glitter Guild Burlesque has a fully stocked repertoire of sexy nerdy fun. We will be beaming down a bevy of Chicago's finest burlesque lads and ladies to tease and titillate you to your very core (save ends)! Come experience the ultimate fanta-tease to make your thought bubbles burst! Cast members include Viva La Muerte, Donna Touch, Lula Houp-Garou, Ray Gunn, Paris Green, Bazuka Joe, Lola Getz, the Amazing Tomas, MsPixy and the Puterbaugh Sisters!
Friday, August 5th - Tomas Medina's Superfantabulous Variety Hour (ENT1120314)
Have a Superfantabulous time with professional magician and part-time handsome person, Tomas Medina, as he serves up a helping of his special brand of 'geek' magic, circus wonders and freakshow fun! With appearances by Aaron Kozbial, Happy the Human Pincushion, the Puterbaugh Sisters and Lula Houp-Garou!
THE PLEA:
One of the most difficult parts of traveling with a theatrical show is finding the money to cover expenses on the road. The funds we are trying to raise will be going toward:
*travel expenses to get us to Indianapolis and back to Chicago
*places to sleep
*A/V rentals for equipment we are unable to travel with

Paris Green is the director and producer of the critically acclaimed burlesque troupe, The Belmont Burlesque Revue, and is one of the executive producers of the Windy City Burlesque Festival. She fell in love with burlesque when she saw her first striptease as a wee lass in the windswept fields of Kansas and has been finding creative ways to take her clothes off ever since. Paris has been a featured performer in the Best of the Midwest Burlesk Festival, Varietease Cabaret, Vaudezilla Productions and Viva La Muerte’s Hot & Heavy Burlesque and has made special appearances for the Howard Brown Health Center, AIDSCare, Camenae Theatre Ensemble and the Gay Games. Paris has served as an expert on burlesque for syndicated radio host and columnist Dr. Laura Berman, the KC Stage, the Daily Northwestern, Medill News Service and many other fine publications.
In addition to her life as a fabulous burlesque performer and producer, she is a fabulous hardcore gamer and one of the many hosts of the Jank Cast (http://www.jankcast.com), Chicagoland's own podcast about all things gaming. Paris has also authored several playsets for the indie RPG, Fiasco, by Bully Pulpit Games which can be found online at http://chicagoindiegaming.wikispaces.com/.
