About this project
My name is Tina Karagulian, and for the past two years I have been writing a memoir entitled It Is Time: A memoir of reconciliation embracing various spiritual traditions, healing the Armenian genocide and the feminine wound, and claiming the call of a Divine Mother. Many voices and stories are woven together within this memoir, yet it is mostly about a woman’s journey to follow a spiritual call, discern her true voice, and express a desire to serve others. Through poetry, prayer, and stories, I witness how divine grace and the loving kindness of community can heal any broken moments of our lives, and that an opening for forgiveness, compassion, and reconciliation can thrive.
I ask for your financial support to finish this self-published venture, bringing this thirty-year project to a close. I set the goal to raise $10,000 in thirty days, and the money will be used to pay publishing companies for the use of other author's quotes, purchase ISBN numbers and bar codes, and pay remaining fees to publish a 300-page softcover memoir, as well as an accompanying poetry and prayer book.
It is an honor to have you be part of my community. Thank you!

Tina Karagulian is a storyteller, writer, poet, artist, workshop facilitator and seminar speaker. She has over twenty years' experience as an individual therapist in private practice, combining collage and poetry to assist women in finding their inner voice and express their calling and purpose within their lives. Her choice to become a therapist began as a young Armenian girl trying to make sense of the emotional effects of the Armenian genocide upon her family and culture. Her journey to understand post-traumatic stress led her to study various counseling perspectives, creative expressions, and spiritual traditions.
Her poems and her personal story entitled Lessons from the Ancestors are included in the PeaceCENTER's 2008 book Insights on the Journey: Trauma, Healing, & Wholeness, An Anthology of Women's Writing, edited by Maureen Leach, OSF. Four of her prayers have been included in Morehouse Publishing's 2009 anthology Lifting Women's Voices: Prayers to Change the World. Women of all ages include prayers on issues of poverty, women's empowerment, and the power of faith to bridge cultural and economic differences. Tina's prayer entitled My heart is Full is included in Sustaining Abundant Life, a women's prayer and poetry project that supports Women and the Well House ministries in San Antonio, Texas.
Through poetry, writing, and speaking, she is inspired to promote peace, creativity, and reconciliation. It Is Time is her first memoir.
