Just wanted to give you a quick update on the show.
Last week I was notified that Peculiar has won a 2014 National Religious Broadcasters Media Award for Best Creative TV Programming.
NRB Article: http://nrb.org/news_room/articles/recipients-of-the-2014-nrb-media-awards-announced/
We are listed at the bottom of the TV section.
Criteria for the award: “The Best Creative Television Programming award recipient will demonstrate a unique vision and perspective of an important current issue and/or theme. The program shall be episodic in nature. The recipient will demonstrate the highest standards of quality, creativity, and innovation. The program shall engage the culture as an effective witness from a Christian perspective and will have demonstrated a compelling use of the medium from artistic and technical standpoints. The program must be long-form (at least 20 minutes in length).”
That's a huge honor and we wouldn't have gotten it without your support. Thanks for being involved!
God is still using our work. I am so thankful to be a part of it.
We are still on several networks and stations across the country and around the globe. This news will probably result in even more stations being willing to play the show.
In the meantime, I've been working on a feature length project. It's still in script rewrites and early preproduction, but I hope to shoot sometime next year. If interested, check out the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/flawedfilm
Anyway, just wanted to let you know what was going on on. It's because of your support that this is possible.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
