Hello & thanks so much for visiting my kickstarter page.  With your help, I'd like to design & publish an original photobook that documents rural & urban decay alongisde Amtrak's Northeast Corridor rail line between Washington, DC, & New York City.

Here are some sample pages from the initial set of photos I shot:

If I reach my funding goal ($1776) & move forward with production, the book will be no less than 200 pages—with some minimal accompanying graphic art & text, including at least one original essay.  Most photos will be in the form shown above—taken out the train's window with continuous exposures—however, I will be getting off the train a few times for a closer look at certain locations.

If I reach my funding goal, I hope this book will increase awareness about the struggling communities alongside the NEC railway, & about the neglect & desperation that's often hidden in plain sight.

As I mentioned in the video, this project was partially inspired by Stephan Kaluza's Thames Project, in which he photographed the entire length of the river on both sides to produce an amazing book.

All funds received from this project will be used to deliver the described rewards (and to pay for one roundtrip Amtrak ticket from DC to NYC).
