The studio will be like standing inside an Acoustic Guitar
Creating a recording studio that looks and sounds (as best as we can determine) like being on the inside of an acoustic guitar. It sounds crazy but the more you think about it the more intriguing it gets. So what do we need? The basic construction portion of the project is finished now we need to create the room and this will be a work of art, both visually and acoustically. The room will, in essence, become a musical instrument. I searched for a room similar to this but could not find one so that would mean this will be the first ever. The entire project will take about 45 days to complete then the real work begins for us. Understanding the nuances of the room and how to record in it will take a few weeks but that is why we are creating a drum library. We look forward to getting this project going, getting inspired by an amazing room, meeting new people and getting to hear some new exciting music. We hope this room will inspire you and your music.

Because this has never been done (at least to the best of my knowledge) the time it will take to do the creation might take longer than anticipated. Creating a custom skylight, special wall coverings and moldings along curved walls can make project timelines hard to calculate. Because of the exceeding complexity of this project we have contacted a master craftsman who has agreed to do the construction for us. He has been in the construction business for more than 50 years; a gifted artisan in the carpentry field. Estimated time for construction is 45 days.
After construction learning the nuances of the room might take 4 to 6 weeks. This was one of the reasons we wanted to do the drum library; to experiment with drum and microphone placement in the room. Then creating the drum library should take 2 weeks. Followed by the original music created by our studio musicians will take another 2 weeks to record and mix down. By that time we will have more than 1,000 hours of experience creating music in the new studio. This should give you the confidence to know that, when challenged by you to achieve a certain sound; we can deliver results as quickly as you come up with ideas.
