"A documentary film with information so powerful that will mobilize people worldwide to create a more fair world".
The bases of this documentary are over than 12.000 secret documents taken from the audit of the debt made in 2007 to Ecuador. This was a historical investigation because allowed the country to declare its debt illegal due to the irregularities found in the audit, cancelling all following payments.
In the same way, in 1982 Alejandro Olmos sued the external debt of his country, Argentina. In the year 2000 the judge Juan Ballesteros declared the debt illegal and ordered the cancellation of all payments. The government ignored him and one year later, Argentina was submerged in the deepest economical crisis ever challenged by a country. This happed because they continued paying a debt that should have never been paid.
WHY YOU SHOULD FUND THIS PROJETC…
The same patron of corruption followed in Ecuador and Argentina has been applied in many countries for bankers and dishonored politicians, generating social catastrophes like the ones we see in Europe and United States today. “Debt with the Devil” is an opportunity for all us to reveal this system and change it.
We have the mission to inform people around the world, trough this film, why suddenly they do not have jobs, health care, housing or even their live savings as a consequence of the external debt. Once the viewers find out what really happened, a worldwide social movement will be generated in social networks; and we will ask our governments not to sacrifice more human lives in benefits of the international banking system.
We are sure that if we give this information to the public, we can all get organized and demand to our governments to audit the debt. Once we achieve this, the debt can be declared illegal and payments will stop and we can start investing those resources in benefits for our societies.
Today, United States and Europe are in a deep social and economical crisis, partially, because of the payments related to their debts. In the past, Asia and Latin America were the ones who had to deal with that horrible situation and it is just matter of time before other regions suffer the same fate. This system needs to be changed and our only chance for that to happen is to inform people and avoid another calamity.
Why a documentary? Because this kind of information will never reach mass media, they are all part of big conglomerates deeply related with banks. That is why this film is so important. All this information is going to be in a very entertaining and dynamic documentary (we called “An MTV Documentary About External Debt), that have generated interested from a very important distribution company as Wild Bunch.
Among the people we will be interviewing in the documentary, you will find very prestigious people such as:

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
A globally renowned Nigerian economist best known for her two terms as Finance Minister of Nigeria(her current position) and for her work at the World Bank, including several years as one of its Managing Directors (October 2007–July 2011). She also briefly held the position of Foreign Minister of Nigeria in 2006.We are all tired of this impunity and the incredible injustice perpetrated by the banking system. In October 2005, she led the Nigerian team that struck a deal with the Paris Club, a group of bilateral creditors, to pay a portion of Nigeria's external debt (US $12 billion) in return for an $18 billion debt write-off. Prior to the partial debt payment and write-off, Nigeria spent roughly US $1 billion every year on debt servicing, without making a dent in the principal owed. In 2007, Okonjo-Iweala was considered as a possible replacement for former World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz. Subsequently, in 2012, she became one of three candidates in the race to replace World Bank President Robert Zoellick at the end of his term of office in June 2012. From Wikipedia.
