THE STORY
The
soul of Ice Nine Kills has and always will be our incredibly loyal fan base.
You support us year after year, album after album. I started
this band in a basement in Swampscott Massachusetts, with a goal to someday
make music that moved people. To see the band grow to the point where
hundreds of fans have permanently tattooed our lyrics or our now infamous “IX”
logo on their bodies, is an incredible feeling that is almost impossible to
describe. This band means a lot to a lot of people and that’s not something we
take for granted.
We now need your support more than ever to get our new music in your hands
right now! As a number of you may know, the music industry can be a very
frustrating and cold landscape. For years this band has had to claw and
fight our way to get where we are without the benefit of a powerful record
label behind us.
After a tremendous amount of time, effort, and money, we have finally freed
ourselves from contractual restraints. This departure is a great and exciting
fresh start- but the situation has left us in a tremendous amount of debt.
We are very much looking forward to finding a great new label to call home, but
we don’t want to wait any longer to get you guys some new music. Often
times, when signing to a new label it can take anywhere from 6 months to a year
for them to release your record! We have tours set up into March of 2013
and we simply cannot wait that long to get some new jams out to our fans.
THE PLAN
If we can raise $10,000, we will be able to get the band over this
wall of debt that has been built. More importantly, we will be able
finish recording/mix/master/press/ and release an amazing 5 song EP next month that will hold
you guys over until we release the full album (summer 2013)
We have gone to great lengths to make the rewards for donating to this campaign
killer as hell. If you'd like, you can almost look at this as
a pre-order for our New EP with some REALLY cool prizes that come
with it! We are offering everything from getting the EP before everyone
else does, to a custom Ice Nine Kills jean jacket to a free pass for life

Of course with every great project there consists risks and challenges after the project is funded. This could be everything from mixing/mastering delays for the EP, to productions delays for pressing the physical record, to deadlines being pushed back for unexpected reasons . In order to make these risks as minimal as possible, we have chosen to work with producers, mastering studios, and CD pressing plants that we know and trust.
Whatever the case may be, we will 100% follow through on our promise to get you the most amazing product our band has ever released. If anything is even slightly delayed, our fans/backers will be the first to know!

This is for experienced musicians/bands and total amateurs alike. You can write as much of the song as you want, can bring your band if you have one or come by yourself, play and sing as much or as little as you want and we'll do the rest. We'll write, play, sing, record anything! We'll be your producers, songwriters, session musicians and guest vocalists OR we'll just sit back, let you do your thing, and engineer it to make you sound awesome.
