The Canes debut EP, Cupid And The Atomic Bomb, will be released in late summer 2012. The album will be produced by major label producer, Paul Leavitt, who’s worked with many notable artist such as: Circa Survive, All Time Low, The Dangerous Summer and many more. The EP will contain 5 songs that will give you a peek into the heart of The Canes.
In support of this release, we have decided to launch this tour! A tour allows us the platform to share our music with an audience that, potentially, would not be listening otherwise. It also allows us to come to you... to meet, hang out, and to share moments with the individuals that are keeping this thing going. Much like everything else, the unfortunate fact we face is that touring costs --a lot of-- money. We aren't able to do this on our own but, collectively, it's a cinch. With your resources and our game plan, we can take this as far as you'd like.
Here are some of main things that your donations will be going toward, in no particular order. Note: We didn't pick a bunch of stuff out of the air. We met with current CPA's in the music business, and sought help from numerous band managers to account for the following expenses while out on the road:
- Fuel
- Meals
- Hotels
- Supplies (water, sharpies, drum sticks, guitar strings, etc)
- Sales Tax (Local & State)
- Oil Changes, Tires, etc.
- Tolls
- Auto Insurance
As you can imagine, things can add up quickly while on the road for 24 days. We want you to know that we've budgeted thoroughly, plan on managing your money well, and most of all, plan on KEEPING YOU INFORMED.
