The Abduction of Becky Morris (1st play by Oklahoma actress/playwright Alison Crane has been to chosen for the NY International Fringe!
For 3 people who all grew up along I-35 from Texas to Minnesota, moving to NYC to study theatre is a big deal! Most people think that artists make the move to the East or West Coast for fame and stardom, but the real story is that we don't measure success by fame, we measure it by getting the opportunities to tell great stories, inspiring people and making people laugh. The Abduction of Becky Morris is an opportunity to achieve all of that. We are all blessed with amazing families and friends and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us tell this little story about a girl from Oklahoma-- and pie. It's definitely a play about pie!

Emerging playwright Alison Crane takes us on a journey across Oklahoma with a slightly psychic, pregnant woman, the convicted murderer who loves her, and a cast of colorful characters from quirky locals to tv's favorite alien chasing FBI agent. THE ABDUCTION OF BECKY MORRIS is the story of an Oklahoma state trooper's wife who becomes obsessed with her former high school stalker after a series of dreams connects him to her unborn child. And her dreams must be prophetic because once she dreamed "they were gonna build a Super Wal-Mart...And they did!"
Can a kidnapping save you? Can we revisit our past to alter the course of the present? Follow the Southern drawl to find out in this fast-paced chase across route 66 that explores what happens when we literally follow our dreams in an old-school Datsun with only our conviction and a supply of fried pies to guide us.
Directed by AJ Cermak, THE ABDUCTION OF BECKY MORRIS cast features: Alison Crane, William Franke, Matthew Hammond, Thom Christensen, Jason Wilson and Mary Ruth.
