Greetings potential investors,

First and foremost, we, Mark Olin and Patrick F. Cook, would like to thank you for your interest in our film project. We promise you that we will work to our greatest ability in order to ensure the completion and success of this film.

The Project: This fall we will be shooting our short film, Gentlemen, a film-noir/mystery following an African-American college student as he becomes unintentionally swept up in a local unsolved murder. The film is estimated to be about 15 - 20 minutes in length and shot on location at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Your funds will help support our production in the following ways:

Travel expenses - we will be traveling from Syracuse University to Cornell University on multiple occasions in order to shoot scenes on location.

Prop expenses - we will need to purchase props for the film such as wardrobe and set pieces.

Equipment expenses - we will need to purchase various items for production in order to rig our cameras/lighting for specific shots. These include a generator, sound proofing material, tarpaulin, sheets, and PVC pipe for dolly construction.

Thank you very much for your consideration in funding this project. Upon completion, we plan to enter this film into festivals on the national scale as well as our local Syracuse film festival.
