The L.A. Fire Brigade is entering our third year of practice as a conclave in the Great Circle at Burning Man 2012. We perform impressive large-scale fire choreography that showcases up to 35 simultaneous fire performers and a slew of talented drummers. We are a group made up of fire performers, drummers, choreographers, seamstresses, fire safeties, photographers, and videographers. We are lead by our fearless leaders: Shins Jennifer Knott-Biswas, Diana Cimadamore, and Gloria Lamb. These women are incredible and the success of our group would not be possible without their efforts.

A ton of effort goes into creating, learning, and performing a fresh new piece of choreography to share on burn night each year. Members of our group travel from all over Los Angeles to choreograph, practice, build  tools, and construct costumes between April and August. Countless hours and materials will go into the execution of this performance and the costs are all expected to be covered by our members. We would like to raise $1500 to help offset the costs for our performers.

Since we are asking for a percentage of our total expenses, any funds (after KickStarter fees, etc.) raised over our goal of $1,500 will go towards our performance. While members of the group are encouraged to pledge, their contribution will not count towards their dues for the year.

Our performance submission video will be submitted for approval in July but we have a lot of practices to attend and costumes to make before we get there. After our acceptance into the great circle, we will send out an update to our supporters followed by where we will be in the circle. Supporters of all levels will receive details about our super special early-in-the-week Burning Man performance!
