About this project

Dear Friends:

Princess Dies is pursuing an exciting, ambitious new adventure! Won't you join us?

Princess Dies will explore the High Sierra mountains and Mojave desert via the medium of nature videography, to an art residency with the Wonder Valley Land Art Project. There we will build a set, perform, and tape!

From the desert, Princess Dies will then collaborate with various artists in Los Angeles such as Mr. Let's Paint and Lucky Dragons!

Your contribution will pay for:

• equipment

• construction

• travel costs

The premiere of the episode will be held at p:ear (a non-profit serving homeless youth in Portland, Oregon) followed by live performances from Experimental Half Hour acts.

Princess Dies is a multi-media project by Ashby Lee Collinson. The project has taken many forms, from a live musical and dance act, endurance performance, travel documentary, sketch comedy, and active sculpture. Princess Dies has aired on Experimental Half Hour for Portland Community Media and ESP T.V. and Manhattan Neighborhood Network, since 2010,  involving a various cast of talented collaborators. The project has been featured at the PDX Contemporary Arts Window Project, the Time Based Arts Festival, Neon Marshmellow Festival, Portlandia, and the upcoming PICA Carte Blanche Festival at the Gaîté Lyrique museum in Paris.

By connecting the Wonder Valley Land Art Project, Los Angeles, Experimental Half Hour, and p:ear, this series will broaden the artistic scope of the community. Your support is incredibly valued!

Thank you for your consideration of this request and see you on the road!

Sincerely,

Ashby Lee Collinson
