HEY FOLKS - THOUGH WE'VE MET OUR ORIGINAL GOAL of $500, OUR COSTS ARE ALMOST $2,000 ALREADY. WE SET OUR GOAL TOO LOW! EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!
Nothing complicated here folks. Story as old as time: Independent Artists Seeking Fame And Fortune in The Great American South. Authors looking for the Big Score. Audiences clamoring for the dying arts. Printers apprehensively waiting for their paychecks.
Ben and Dziga need your help to print our newest collections of poetry and comics and take them on a reading tour.
Problem is:
It's super expensive to print hundreds of copies of paperbacks and drive a damn car around these days, not to mention costs for our zines, promotional materials, design, and the time we miss from our work (gasp! Working Artists....Sacre Bleu). Without your help we won't be able to afford to print our books and zines at the quality they deserve, produce promotional materials, cover consignment costs and bring our readings and live projections to your city!
You know the drill, we're basically spanging you (our dear friends or perhaps a stranger who's just stumbled across the wrong kickstarter) to help us print our newest collections and take our show on the road. It's not all bad though, unlike getting spanged on Decatur, you'll get some cool premiums in return, including copies of our new collections:

And if you happen to live in one of the following cities, you can hear us mumble and grumble our way through a heart-stopping performance our works, including readings, live projections, Q and A's and perhaps a gripping monologue on the state of modern poetry (if you're lucky). Our live shows will be poetry-comics-fiction event of the season, so if you only go to one poetry-comics-fiction show this year, make it ours. We will be announcing the venues and times if we manage to hit our kickstarter goal!

We run the risk of looking like fools and we challenge you to reignite your love for comics and poetry through engaging and cutting-edge works and performances. We've risked countless thankless hours putting these books together, doing cover design, promotion, bear-fighting, the whole nine yards of independent publishing these days.
