We've launched an exciting new project of our own! Introducing the Kickstarter app for iPhone!

Funded! This project successfully raised its funding goal on March 15, 2012.

And finally...

Update #3 · Jun 1, 2012 · comment

Thanks everyone for your patience in dealing with this book's requisite amount of elephant stool. After a good few weeks of confusion about who has your money and why they have it, we have finally gotten the "oops, our bad" from Amazon payments and are pushing forward with the PR campaign on this monster. We appreciate that this has caused a bit of frustration for all those involved (including us, to be sure) and are doing what we can to get things cleared up as soon as possible.

In the meantime, our foul-mouthed little bastard has ventured out into the world. Fifi, Kill! is available at any bookstore with an Ingram account (which is to say, any bookstore) and is steadily popping up in eBook stores such as Powell's and Kobo and will continue to appear as we get our information out to the different sellers (Kindle and Nook are coming soon, s***head's honor).

Most importantly, rewards are finally getting out the door. The paperbacks are in stock at Offshoot Productions, the website is going up, Peach and M. are painting their chests, thongs and special editions are on order. You'll be seeing our crap in your mailbox and via updates here in the coming days, so stick around.

Thank you all from the bottom of our rotten, putrid hearts. The clown is out of the box and there's no stopping him now.

You're disgusting/we love you

Update #2 · Feb 27, 2012 · comment

Another trio of backers--Eddie, R P, and Skye--have put us over the mark. With $295 on the project, you have wrought upon the world a free podcast of "She's Bad News" and the ability to buy the Fifi, Kill! eBook directly from your WiFi-enabled e-reader of choice (much love to the Nook, personally). The conquest begins: today your e-reader, tomorrow your brain.

We're pretty much frothing at the mouth with glee and/or rabies at this point, considering that the project is less than half over and we've already hit our secondary goal. Our tertiary goal, $500, will be no problem if continue at the rate we're going. What we'll be able to with that much money, at least in specific terms, is something we're presently discussing among ourselves. We'll come back with the exciting details when we figure it out, but--BUT one thing we do know for sure is that M. Shaw has promised to release the entire book as a free podcast if we hit that goal, and from the ideas being thrown around right now we can tell that it's going to be something... special.

What we're saying is: based on the response so far, we're guessing you all would like to see this circus go three-ring. So keep the buzz going, keep the shares going and keep the love coming. In the meantime you can read some of the stories in their original venues, like the facebook page and, if you happen to be in Columbus, plan on checking out the release party when it goes down on the 14th.

Thanks everyone for your continued support. We won't ask what reality did to offend you, but we're glad you're on our side of the line.

In which we reach our initial goal on the second day

Update #1 · Feb 25, 2012 · comment

"There are times when I don't know what kind of crack my fans are on." - M. Shaw

3 backers, 155 dollars. Thanks to Rashid, Lyle and Elizabeth, Fifi, Kill! is getting its publicity campaign. We love you guys in a way that may be somewhat inappropriate for a professional relationship--but hey, that's what you signed up for, right?

This is excellent news. Knowing this far in advance that our project has succeeded will allow us to get things moving right away. But there's no reason to stop now. At this point we're within sight of our $250 secondary goal, at which point we'll make Fifi, Kill! available through the proprietary stores for major e-readers like the Nook and the Kindle, and arrange to make the novella "She's Bad News" into a free podcast. "She's Bad News" is about people who turn into clowns, people who turn into nurses, nurses who turn into hitmen, clowns who turn into George Takei, hitmen who turn into fire, genitals who turn into clowns, and most of all, living bodies that turn into dead bodies. But if you want to get all deconstruction-y then it's also about a woman's struggle not to have her life and personality defined by the people around her in order to suit their needs. Obviously.

So keep spreading the word, boys and girls. Meanwhile we'll be busy figuring out who is going to write what on whose chest. Thank you all!

You clearly have enough money to be more interesting than the $15 kids. You'll get your paperback, but what you get on the book's website is a personalized thank-you note written on Peach or M.'s chest and photographed. Guaranteed safe for work (sorry, boys & girls).

We shed a single crystalline tear in honor of your dedication. Your paperback and personalized thank-you photo come with a thong printed with A.E. Scott's excellent cover art. Please specify size. Or a mug if you don't want a thong, but who doesn't want a thong?

While we can't *guarantee* that funding the entire project will get you out of purgatory, and can't (per the terms of service) offer to be your slave for a day either, what we can do is this: in addition to the paperback and the mug-or-thong, we'll send you a personalized hardcover of 'Fifi, Kill!' with a text-free alternate cover. How many personalized hardcovers will be printed? As many as we have $125 donors. "Collectible" is the term. And instead of a thank-you photo, you get a video. Isn't that special?
